Cerulean Spirit

Here’s another work in progress. Personally I find the blue hideous, so I am open to ideas for a different colour or background entirely! Just don’t bash it loads please, I know it looks like a baby boy’s bedroom and that’s why it is going to be changed!!

I’m going to raise the white border and change the lower portion to vertical wood panels. The carpet I will make creamier, or wood, not sure. I might drop the spots, could look too overwhelming printed. Haha. Might just go for a gradient fill with a dark blue that matches their jackets. Or a pale yellow… decisions, decisions!! Well I’m working on it! I’ll take a break from the front and start on the back cover. Bye =]

Edit: Yellow any better? Had help from my sister in Barbados.

I have been working most of the day on this and got some valuable pointers from my little sister who is amazing by the way: Edalie-Chan

I finished the lineart and the colouring of the mascots. Next up is the sofa, wall and back cover which includes a television, games console. picture frame and plant.

Alcon 2009 Conbook Front Cover Work In Progress

I hope to finish and send it off tomorrow. Let’s hope my e-mail is actually working tomorrow!

Afternoon,

I’ve been working on Alcon’s 3rd conbook cover by me. This year they want the mascots (Al-kun and Al-chan) interacting in a sister-brotherly way, so I concluded that they should be playing video games where Al-chan (outgoing, confident, cheeky) beats Al-kun (quiet, introvert, serious) at one of their own video games – in this case the TV will be displaying the artwork I created for Alcon’s 2007 conbook. The perspective is going to be kinda surreal with the two characters on the front and the TV, picture frame and plant on the back cover. Here’s my WIP.
